In Pre-K the children have learned about the basic needs of plants to help them grow. In celebration of "Earth Day' , the children took home their basil plants that they started from seeds. They are responsible to continue to water and take care of them.
After an interactive flannel board story and discussion about taking care of animals, Ms.K allowed the children to take turns to pet "VEGA" a dog from the Animal Shelter.
Cooking in Pre-K is a weekly activity. The children are sprinkling a mixture of sugar and cinnamom on the dough to make "Elephant Ears" for the letter of the week "Ee".
Washing the cooking utensils is also part of the cooking experience.
These children are taking turns mixing the batter.
